GIFT GUIDE | Bed Time Stories

When the weather turns and the air gets chilly, all I want to do is stay snuggled in bed all day long. We all live such busy lives that we at times feel guilty for staying in bed for a couple extra hours on the weekend. I say, "bah humbug" to that and I'm here to make some suggestions on some fun things  you may need to have around for those lazy "stay in bed" days. So here's to turning off, cozying up and staying in bed (for a couple extra hours).

1. Live Love Laugh Pillow, Chapters Indigo $39.50 - I say, you can never have enough pillows. Live, love and laugh away your worries and lay your head on this inspirational pillow from Chapters Indigo. I've been pretty impressed with their home decor selection lately and it's a great place to buy small gifts for everyone in your family.

2. Polka Dot Fleece Bath Robe, Joe Fresh $19 - Did you miss out on my polka dot trend post? Wrap yourself in this soft fleece robe after a shower or while lounging and relaxing in bed.

3. The Sleep Shirt, $195 - As much as I see myself has a sexy beast (ha), I'm not lounging around in a sheer see through teddy. I think nothing is sexier than a woman in her man's dress shirt. This is why I love "The Sleep Shirt" because of it's over sized fit that is both effortless and classic. The shirt is a simple nightshirt design based on a 19th century chemise found by designer Alexandra Suhner Isenberg at a vintage menswear stall in London's Spitalfield's market. The Sleep Shirt makes sleeping better.

4. Where The Sidewalk Ends, Amazon $14 - $22 - I had to pull this one out of the fault. As a child growing up in the 70's - 80's, there were so many wonderful books that helped  shape my life. "Where The Sidewalk Ends" by Shel Silvertein was one of them and if you've never read this book as a child I highly recommend that you do as an adult.  In what other book can you meet a boy who turns into a TV set, and a girl who eats a whale, a place where you wash your shadow and plant diamond gardens, a place where shoes fly and crocodiles go to the dentist? No where else but in "Where The Sidewalk Ends", the perfect bedside book to flip through on a lazy day.

5. La Couleur Couture Nail Polish, Shut Up I Love This $14 - One of the best feelings in the world is being able to carve out some "me" time so that I can paint my own nails (a great stay in bed pass time). La Couleur Couture has an array of colors to chose from and on top of being five-free and vegan, this polish goes on smooth and with ease.

6. Lemon Loaf, It's To Die For $10  -  I can just hear my mother nagging, "don't eat in bed"! Well, now that I'm an adult I can make my own rules and I think eating in bed is perfectly ok. My go to snack, Erin Ireland's "To Die For" Lemon Loaf. It's seriously good stuff. Check for store locations HERE.
