I started wearing glasses when I was in the 7th grade. I remember being so upset because I was afraid of what the other kids were going to think and I was not looking forward to the "four eyes" and "geek" nick names. Today, wearing glasses seems to be the norm and they have become a very fashionable staple in a persons wardrobe.

I collaborated with the team at Clearly Contacts and picked out some of my favourite pairs to share with you:

Jimmy Choo 71 WPO Black Gold - I love these Jimmy Choo’s as they are the perfect fit for my more serious and sophisticated side. The cat eye shape is elegant, feminine and the nose piece helps with the fit. The glossy black enamel frame is slick and the faux leather wrap on the hinge is a nice fashionable detail.

Derek Cardigan 7005 Black - For my funkier side I love these Derek Cardigan black cat eye acetate frames. They are bold and demand a lot of attention. When I started wearing glasses as a kid I was so concerned about looking “geeky”. Well, I’m happy to say that I can now embrace my “inner geek” with these wicked frames. They take geek chic to a whole new level.

Derek Cardigan 7010 Blackout - These Derek Cardigan glasses give me the best of both worlds. A little serious, bold, definitely geeky and they remind me of my dad. I swear he had a pair just like it when he was a teenager. I’m not a girly girl so this slightly masculine look is very suitable for my day to day style.
