Moving to the Mount Pleasant hood was one of the best decisions we've made in a long time. We are still incredibly close to the downtown bustle, but feel much more connected with a sense of community. We have almost everything we need at our finger tips. When I say almost, I think we are still missing a really good noodle or ramen joint. (Anyone interested in opening one? I will be your number one fan and supporter).
My bother, whom also lives in the neighborhood and who is also in the restaurant business, mentioned a little gem of a place on East 11th at Main Street. It's called Dock Lunch and it's nestled on the corner masked by trees and bushes. This quaint place seats maybe 25, serves up old fashion comfort foods. The menu is small, brunch on the weekends and serving both lunch and dinner during the week. Food definitely has latin flavors, we had bunch today while listening to some Spanish and Portuguese tunes.
