STYLE | Floral

OK I know that Fall/Winter 2013 is literally around the corner but floral prints have become a constant in fashion today. Currently they are appearing in all shapes, sizes and colors. Last year the florals were miniature sized and the patterns were what I like to call "ditsy" florals and mainly seen in linings and trims. This year the floral patterns are much bolder and the floral prints are much larger and more tropical. Think along the lines of a more updated, modern version of the Hawaiian print.

I love the idea of one printed piece to make the ensemble and then I thought, "would an all over floral print be just a little too much"? What the heck, I gave it go and I actually dig the look. Yes you can risk looking like you just got out of bed (see image below), but it's pajama dressing at it's finest!

However, when you tuck in the shirt, put on some heals, wear some red lipstick and accessorize ...the look completely changes. Fashion tip: Wear all over floral with large prints only. You may end up looking like country garden window curtains if you wear an all over small floral pattern.
