TRENDS | Slip These on For Size

This is why I love the fashion business, watching the cycle of trends go round and round (and as you get older you see more and more repeats). While I was in the footwear business I managed a very lucrative fashion athletic business for some time and the sneaker trend was at an all time high with the youngsters around early 2000's. Alas, sneakers took a back seat once ballet flats, oxfords and smoking slippers become more prominent trends.

It's really refreshing to see the sneaker category come back to life now and it's one of the most worn street style items today. I love how people are mixing it with really dressy outfits. Gone are the days of wearing sneakers with your casually. Try pairing them up with some dress slacks or even a dress! I am totally digging the slip on sneaker trend and the bolder and louder the print is, the better. I'm a huge fan of leopard and I wanted an affordable pair, so my pick was the Steve Madden pony hair leopard sneaker.

There are plenty of patterns and colors to choose from at all price levels, check out some of my suggestions below.
